Videotelling for Class

We all have heard about storytelling, right?
Then what about videotelling? Well, some of you may never hear this. Even my computer doesn't recognize the word. The recognized word "video" and "telling", but not "videotelling" as one word. Okay back to the track!
Videotelling and storytelling are alike, they both have the same idea, which tells a story. What makes them different is:
Storytelling usually does by a person who tells a story with many intonations, expressions, and gestures. Videotelling does them same, but the person also plays a video the story about.
Personally, if I'm the audience, I would prefer watch and listen than just listen.
Videotelling is one from many things to make the class fun. It's also could be a challenge for the children. You know, school these days so different from my school years. The projects are more creative and varied than mine. So maybe, videotelling could be another creative project for students. Besides, it helps students talk more clearly and more expressive.
You know, to tell a story, especially in front of many people could be a challenge for many. An introvert student, like me, find it is hard to speak in front of a large number of people. That what school made for! Make hard things for students!
That... what I think. Before. You know I have a rough time as a student. Then I realized, it actually helping me. If you can not speak fluently in front of the class, in front of your own classmate, then you would have a hard time when you are grown up. Speak in front of your co-workers and your supervisor that won't kind as your teacher is so much harder.
The other thing why I like http://lessonstream.org, the first thing I saw was animals! Animals are like a click bait for me. Even though It's a little bit lagging or maybe there is something wrong with my laptop, I still like it.
Feel free to check it!

  2. Hello again! I really impressed in how well you organize your explaination. I found it was so easy to understand what you meant and your express it clearly. I do agree that Videotelling would be more fun and interesting for learners and also easier for teachers to explain as the videos provide pictures or realia.

Quizlet: Playing and Learning

Being a teacher sometimes is a hard and stressful job. There are many things that make the work hard, for example: making sheet works, watched by the supervisors, having uncooperative co-workers, dealing naughty students, etc. Other that, dealing the class is not an easy job either. To make students cooperative with you could be a hard thing to do. Especially, the student did not take any interest in the subject. They would play with each other, busy by themselves, not pay attention, and disturb the class. We all, of course, have been a student before, and we all know it is hard to focus on the subjects that we didn't like. We will do other else to keep us busy or not bored. At the end, we would not understand anything about the subject and get a bad score in the test. I know that all of this back to the student themselves, but being a teacher we also can help the student focus to the subjects by make the class fun or show something interesting that steal the student’s f...

Flipped Classroom

Hai, everyone! Have you heard about flipped classroom? A flipped classroom is a technique which teachers, mostly outside Indonesia, used to teach their children. Like its name, it is contrasted from Indonesian classroom do where students learned the subjects at school and do the assignment at home, but flipped classroom students learn the subject and got the assignment at home by video, and do the assignment at school. It is not common at Indonesia school, so probably many of you never experience it. Neither do I. To be honest, I don't know if flipped classroom will effective at Indonesia schools. It mostly because students will have a hard time to customize with the new teaching, but it would possible for elementary students, which mean should be applied to new students. It sure makes teacher's job easier and hard at the same time. It easier because they don't need to explain it again at school or students has something to do when they didn't come, but also it mak...
