Lesson Plan with SAMR

This is my first lesson plan, so it's not perfect. My lesson plan about giving and asking direction. It is suitable for junior high school. The purpose of the lesson is for the students to know what is the right way to ask and give direction. The lesson also teaches the students about landmarks. The lesson will not use any physical things, like paper and whiteboard. All the teacher and the students need is a laptop or a tablet.

Here my lesson plan:

Asking and Giving Direction
Topic:
For student learns some basic directional skills, asking for directions and giving directions. This lesson starts with learning how to ask for directions and how to give directions to someone who has asked you.
Aims:
1.       Know how to ask for directions and giving direction.
2.       Increasing vocabulary about direction.
3.       Develop student’s writing by writing a script of role-playing.
4.       Increasing student’s creativity by drawing.
5.       Encourage the student to give feedback to peers.
6.       As an optional final task, develop student oral fluency and teamwork by doing role-play that made by another team.

Teenager (Junior high school)
Time:
45-60 minutes
Material:

2.       Pictures of landmarks.
3.       A sketch of location.
4.       Twiddla.com
5.       Sketch.io
6.       Blogspot.com
7.       Internet connection.
Introduction:
Focusing on Speaking, writing, and vocabulary. This lesson teaches the student how to asking and giving directions.
This lesson for junior high school and upper.  The vocabulary might be little hard, but the main activities of speaking and writing can be done at whatever level the student art. This lesson would be a good task for the class to improve many abilities.
This lesson starts with playing games while memorizing the vocabulary. Then students make a group and draw one sketch. The sketch would be submitted, then distribute randomly or by lottery. Students make a video of role-playing about asking and giving direction based on the sketch, then post it on the blog. All students should leave a comment on other group videos.
Procedure
Lead-in
5 minutes
·         Asking the student whether they know how to ask someone for direction and vocabulary.
·         Write on Twiddla.
To used Twiddla, just go to Twiddla.com, then choose the whiteboard option.The teacher can invited students by shared the link.
Speaking
5 minutes
·         Explaining abaout landmarks.
·         Explaining the right structure how to ask and giving direction.
Playing Game
10-15 minutes
·         A sketch of a location that have landmarks.
·         Ask them to show the direction to somewhere based on the sketch.
Drawing sketch
5 minutes
·         Asking students to make group.
·         Using sketch.io to draw the sketch.
Sketch.io is an online tool where you can draw something and share it.
·         Shared the sketch to the teacher.
Role-play
15-30 minutes
·         The group get one skecth of laction that other group did, and make a dialog based on the sketch.
·         Make the role-play and record it.
·         Post it on blog and upload the sketch.
·         Have the students to comment friends’ video.

Quizlet: Playing and Learning

Being a teacher sometimes is a hard and stressful job. There are many things that make the work hard, for example: making sheet works, watched by the supervisors, having uncooperative co-workers, dealing naughty students, etc. Other that, dealing the class is not an easy job either. To make students cooperative with you could be a hard thing to do. Especially, the student did not take any interest in the subject. They would play with each other, busy by themselves, not pay attention, and disturb the class. Learning Descriptive Text Using Blended Learning

Hello, everyone! Today, I would like to introduce blended learning. One of the methods that teachers can use for their class. I used blended learning to make a lesson about descriptive text. The activity is design to improve student's listening, reading, vocabulary, and writing. My student for descriptive text is 10th grade. Describing something is very important and being used in many writing occasion. By knowing how to describe something, it would make the writing more detail. The students will watch a video about what is descriptive text. Then, they will read some example of descriptive text. Then they need to write 2 descriptive texts about a place and a person from the pictures in the Blendspace.
